lemonej
You can always find stats to support an opinion good or bad but the fact that the O-line gave up no sacks is a mirage. When you factor in that Forte on 16 carries could only gain 39 yards and aside from a couple of scrambles by Cutler, those 115 rush yards also are not what they appear to be.The Texans looked like they played some Cover 2 a lot and didn't blitz as much as they normally do.They were really concentrating on keeping the Bears from making a big play and almost every time the Bears took a shot down the field there was a safety over the top of whoever was targeted. Whenever there was one on one coverage the WR or TE dropped the ball or fumbled. Davis' mistakes really hindered the Bears' game plan because as you could see on that first pass, the plan was to get him one on one with a LB up the seam.In the 2nd half when Campbell was in the game they kept a lot of defenders back in coverage and as a result Campbell kept checking the ball down no matter what the situation was. Time to see what Rodriquez can do in the pass offense. Peace
adam
lemon, regardless, they held Watt without a Sack or Deflected Pass. He was basically a non-factor. The O-Line didn't play great, but it was a vast improvement over the past few weeks. Overall, I think it comes down to the play calling. Even when we could run the ball, we would stop and throw 3 straight incompletions, then punt. It was frustrating, because I thought we were the better team. Connor, I would love to see Rodriquez in on more passing plays. Even a screen out of the backfield after he chips the D-End.
'TD'
Time to see what Rodriquez can do in the pass offense. Peace On the score earlier, they said he is now an H-Back, or something like that. They said he's not even in the TE meetings and cause his position was changed. Agreed. But it won't stop people from being distracted like at a magic show. They'll look at the hand showing you Cutler's injury, Campbell's poor preparation, Davis' fumble, Davis' missed catch, Jeffery's absence, Forte's "problem" with cutbacks, and never look at the hand holding the OL. How many sacks did the Bears get? Oh, that's right, one.

Yeah, but Watt is the DPOY the year, everyone has already crowned him, and he did nothing. Sure the conditions helped, but if he was that good, he would've had a bigger impact. It's not the OL's ability or performance, nor is it the field's hindrance to play, it's the bloated Watt bandwagon finally blowing an axle.
