January 16, 201313 yr comment_114007 I'm so happy as a Bears fan! We are acting like a real franchise! 1. Emery did his due diligence 2. We hired outside the box 3. We struck fast on outstanding OC, and ST hires 4. We are OK with the DC This is truly the most exciting off-season in a long time. I welcome all this change with open arms and a full glass of Lagavulin! Cheers! Bear down! Report

I think we have great personnel/players and even though we will have to implement a new system at some level I still think we can compete and win and have much more to look forward to in the future than we did a month ago! Go Bears!!! Report
January 16, 201313 yr Author comment_114027 I hear Marinelli isn't a lock...but whether he's retained or let go, I think Emery & Trestman will have the right man in place. Actually I'd have to say that the offseason in '06 (who knew the team wouldn't make another run at the SB? right away?), '09 (when Cutler was traded) and '10 (when Peppers signed on to the team) were all higher on the list....but that's just me. But like you, I'm welcoming it with my "glass half empty". Report
January 16, 201313 yr comment_114085 Yeah, this is great. Trestman+Kromer+DeCamillis >>>>>>> Lovie+Tice+Toub Toub was the only one holding his own, but DeCamillis has been doing ST for a long time as well. Report

January 17, 201313 yr comment_114154 To add to the professionally run team keep in mind Emery greatly expanded our scouting department over the course of the season and added his system of grading to the mix. We don't really know what to expect this draft so it will be interesting but I'm very hopeful. Report
