adam
Looks like everyone but Hoke is gone: New Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman has started the process of cutting ties with the old coaching staff by letting go offensive coordinator Mike Tice, receivers coach Darryl Drake, offensive line coach Tim Holt and quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates, according to one league source with direct knowledge of the situation. Assuming Trestman got rid of the remainder of the staff -- save for Hoke -- Tice, Drake, Holt, quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates, running backs coach Tim Spencer and tight ends coach Mike DeBord would be left looking for offensive jobs. Safeties coach Gill Byrd, linebackers coach Bob Babich, defensive line coach Mike Phair, and nickel backs coach Mikal Smith also would be left to seek work elsewhere. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,5312921.story

Bears4Ever_34
Sounds like Hoke might be the DC then. Guess we'll see.
adam
Sounds like Hoke might be the DC then. Guess we'll see. Odd, his wiki summary shows this when you search his name on Google: Jon Hoke is currently the defensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League. Wikipedia but when you go to his actual page, it still says DB Coach.
Ed Hochuli 3:16
Phair, Hoke, and Byrd will be the only 3 coaches- ST, D, or O- who remain in 2013 from Lovie's staff. Michael Wright tweeted that Mel Tucker might be the next DC.

adam
Who is Mel Tucker? DC for Jacksonville. Brought the defense up in 2011 when he took over playcalling from Del Rio. Otherwise, you can only do so much with crappy players.
Connorbear
Drake was horrible. He did not develop 1 player while he was here. I always wondered how the hell he stayed on. Peace

I wanted him to be the HC for my Badgers (very happy with Gary). I would very much approve Mel.
