scs787
Assuming 54 is gone I'd rather have Ogletree in the 1st...Fluker if they think he can play Guard or Cooper in the 2nd....Klien in the 4th...I like the Stoneburner pick in the 5th... Ed Hochuli 3:16
Yeah, supposedly scouts were laughing at Klein in the E-W Shrine week. He is horrible. No thank you.

Playing outside of his scheme with players he doesn't know. This is exactly what he will have to do when he comes to the NFL.

How long do those guys practice together?? Klein would have quite a bit of time to learn the scheme and mesh with the other guys.

Its unfair to judge him solely on this however when guys start missing easy reads and easy throw its a big concern. Add in fact he's a running qb 1st and its trouble

scs787
Ya got me there. With the talk of using some pistol offense who would you guys like to see as the backup??? You guys don't one Klein or Tebow...What dual threat QB with a good arm is gonna be available??
balta1701-A
Ya got me there. With the talk of using some pistol offense who would you guys like to see as the backup??? You guys don't one Klein or Tebow...What dual threat QB with a good arm is gonna be available?? I'll say it again...I really dislike the idea of swapping QB's mid-game or mid-drive. I don't think it works at all. You take your main QB out of rhythm, you put the backup QB in a position where he's coming in cold and out of the blue, your offense isn't used to him, and worst of all, the defense immediately knows that something is up, you wake up every defender and have them on their toes to figure out what the trick is. If you want a dual threat QB to be effective, you need to do what the 49ers did with Alex Smith: get rid of him and make the dual threat guy the #1 QB. scs787
Well at the very least developing one would be nice.

balta1701-A
Well at the very least developing one would be nice. I have no problem with them drafting a backup QB this year (They need a backup QB somewhere). But if he's getting playing time, it's because of a Cutlerconcussion. Trick plays just don't work when the defense knows its coming. That was a big part of the problem with the Mad Martz plays as well - when Cutler is lined up at WR, something's up! Panic! Damn Brian, are you a Custodial Engineer? You first would drink Windex if the Bears sign Mike Wallace, and now you are going to drink bowl cleaner, lol. I highly doubt Emery or Trestman would waste valuable cap space, roster spot, and a draft choice on either of those guys. We have too many other needs than a gimmicky 2nd/3rd string QB. Like Balta alluded to, the most important thing for a QB is consistency, if Cutler is coming out for even a couple of plays a game, the offense loses its rhythm, timing, and consistency. It starts with the scheme, extends to the personnel (ie Oline), and ends on the field, play by play.

adam
This again? It has not been determined yet if they do or do not. It has been determined; the Bucs already traded it to the Patriots: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Thursday they have traded cornerback Aqib Talib and a 2013 seventh-round draft pick, originally from the Chicago Bears, to the New England Patriots in exchange for their fourth-round pick in 2013. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100000008...-for-draft-pick This is the best site I've found for determining draft picks: http://www.prosportstransactions.com/footb.../Years/2013.htm
