WalterFBs final mock

A lot of Walterfootball drafts have been posted here so I reckon Ill throw up their last one.

 

1R- Sheldon Richardson DT Mizzu- If the Bears do go BPA Richardson looks like that guy based on the WF mock. We all know I'm high on the Bears getting a DT but I've wanted to wait a bit longer to take one. If Richardson is there at 20 though he'd be tough to pass up.

 

2R- Arthur Brown LB K State- Once again I'd like to wait till the 4th to get a LB like Zaviar Gooden (if possible) but with Brown getting some first round grades I guess he'd be tough to pass at #50.

 

4R- BW Webb CB William and Mary- The level of competition here kinda scares me with Webb but he still could have some good potential and IMO we have a need at CB so I guess I'd be ok with this pick.

 

5R- Reid Fragel OT OSU- I have him in my mock as well so I of course would be ok with him..He's a bit raw but it's my personal belief that Webb will handle RT this year and that would allow Kromer to coach him up for the year.

 

6R- Chris Gragg TE Arkansas- Fauria is still available and I'd rather have him but I'd be ok with Gragg here.

There are tweets floating around that SF really wants to trade up to get Richardson...If he does indeed fall to 20 then we may have our trade partner...hopefully....

A pretty logical draft by position, though a WR instead of TE would be the better route IMO. Richardson in the 1st would make our D-Line one of the most dominant in the league with Peppers and Melton next to him, and he could learn from the best. Brown at 50 is a great value, and he could come in and possibly start at MLB. Webb is a good pickup in the 4th, immediately becomes Nickelback and could move over if Jennings or Tillman get hurt. Fragel would be decent there for a project. He might not start year one, but has enough upside to compete. Gragg is eh, but it is a 6th.

Thoughts? Seething hatred. I would punch Walter in the balls if he had any.

 

1. Richardson has injury, character, and intelligence question marks. Pass.

2. I'm just not high on Arthur Brown. I don't think he'll be great.

4. A small college defensive player? Are we sure Lovie and JA are gone?

5. Meh. Too little, too late.

6. Fodder.

Position-wise, it does have appeal. If someone told me the Bears got out of the draft with a DT, OT, LB, CB, and TE I might like the draft more than if I actually got to see the names.

We can only hope. Richardson will be a headache for whatever team gets him.
