adam
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown...-140847782.html This might have affected his play, especially trying to punch through the line on those short yardage plays. I just wonder if this was a known condition and they let him play hurt?
AZ54
Impossible for Lovie not to have known. We knew midseason something was wrong with Bush because his carries dropped off a lot. but there was never a report as to why at least none that I recall. If the coaches didn't know he was injured I find it hard to believe they just suddenly started giving him 3-5 carries a game. balta1701-A
IF that's just a freak injury it could set up for him to have a better year this year. Maybe even why they didn't cut him.
Daventry
An interesting testimony and sheds light on the majority of hard-working football players who play through injuries, and the resultant pain, to make a living. Much to admire there....
adam
I was sort of disappointed in Bush, so if he can improve, and an injury was the main reason with his lack of production, we may be pleasantly surprised this season.
jason
An interesting testimony and sheds light on the majority of hard-working football players who play through injuries, and the resultant pain, to make a living. Much to admire there....Unless it's something crazy like Jack Youngblood playing with a broken leg or Ronnie Lott cutting off a finger so he could play, I actually view it as a job obligation, and not deserving of much admiration. Football is inherently dangerous and likely to cause injury. The money they get paid suggests they should be doing everything they can to get on the field and play. It reminds me of the following scene in "The Program."
killakrzydav
A broken glenoid isn't at all very serious and heals without surgery. Nothing special about him playing through it.
