DABEARSDABOMB
Consistently Briggs has been a great player. Really sucks to lose him. Get better Briggsy. This will give our young linebackers a chance to step up and get some development time.
Bears4Ever_34
The good news is that he doesn't require surgery, but the bad is that the Bears will be without their best LB'er for atleast a month. This hasn't been a good last 24 hours for Bears fans.

DABEARSDABOMB
It is going to give Greene (sp?) and Bostic a heck of an opportunity. Bostic will start to call plays I presume so it will be a great opportunity for him.

Alaskan Grizzly
Hopefully it gives Greene an opportunity...Wasn't Costanzo out there for Briggs yesterday? Yes Costanzo was. He looked and played horrible. The one play that Greene was out, to relieve Costanzo for some unkown malady, he committed a penalty. But from what I saw (taking into account his preseason play) he (Greene) will probably be the better option. This bye couldn't of had come at a better time. Will give the team some prepartion time to learn play calls (McCown and Bostic) a few others to heal (Peanut) and others to learn their roles (Palmer, Greene...etc). And next on the sched....Green Bay on a Monday night. Sheesh.
madlithuanian
Yup. An earth-shattering change needs to happen to the D or it's really going to be bad... Not sure where it has to happen...if it's on the players or the coaches. But it has to happen. Yes Costanzo was. He looked and played horrible.
