scs787
While we're talking historically bad defenses, throw in the 2013 Dallas Cowboys....DC???? One Rod Marenelli

scs787
I thought Monte Kiffin was the DC in Dallas? D'oh, you're right. Rod is the DL coach. Oops. Fun fact.....5 of the bottom 10 defenses will make the playoffs this year, 6 if the Chargers make the playoffs.
adam
I will have to look this up, I wonder what our record is when and when we do not allow a 100-yard rusher.

No im not taking Mel side but with the Jags he never had really great players to start with so his defense there was always bad. We started off with a 3-0 record and our d was getting it done....then we started to get the injury bug and we have some OLDER players and our rookies are not up to speed.... to me (Greene)was a wasted pick..Conte cant take a good angle to save his live....Wright is always out of position...Peppers is getting OLD. Shea looks lost every play, but we are going to win with the Fab Five... Cutler,Forte,Bennett (TE) Marshall & Jeffery
selection7
Two thoughts...at least those stats show we're aways off from being as bad as the Aints (about 1000 yards off, probably, by season's end). I also would put considerable thought into him having run something other than "his" defense. It's a tough call. But the downside was always that if the D looked bad, we still wouldn't know what a "Tucker" defense could do. But we traded that negative for the possibility that sticking with what has worked would keep things rolling along.
