scs787
Dorsey wasnt special when at KC, but with a ton of good players on the SF defense, I suspect he looked better. Averaging 57 tackles a year as a 3-4 lineman is pretty good. He was actually better in KC as a 5 tech than he was as a NT this year. 5 tech is where I would want him in the 3-4 formation. I wouldn't count out the return of Ratliff as the NT in 3-4 formations since he had success there with our new DL coach. I'm also thinking he may be a little overrated, at least here anyway. Guy had 2 sacks this year, and one came against a sorry Western Illinois team. Also only had 13 TFLs, with 5 of those coming against non conference no bodies. In 8 conference games this year he had 5.5 TFL and a sack. In his career Hageman has 24 TFL and 10 sacks....Just LAST YEAR Donald had 28 and 11....66 and 29 are his career numbers. In their lone mutual game, against Syracuse, Hageman had 2 TFLs and 4 total tackles...Donald? 3.5 and 9. On paper, film, and at the senior bowl Donald > Hageman. Only think Hageman has is length. adam
A bunch of Senior Bowl players go every year, and I believe we had 2-3 drafted last year from those rosters. So who are the potential targets this year?

Stinger226
A bunch of Senior Bowl players go every year, and I believe we had 2-3 drafted last year from those rosters. So who are the potential targets this year? I think we looked at later round QBs, like Fales, or Thomas, although I think if McCown comes back we may wait until next year to get a prospect. I think we looked at centers with the idea of a 5 th or 6th round possilbity .Ikard comes to mind. DTs we interviewed was Donald and Hageman but sure we took a long look at all of them. The safety we were most interested in was Terrance Brooks/FSU, and also interviewed Bucannon and Dixon. A OC we have ties with is Richburg, Meyer the OLine coached him for 3 years and he is working out with Taylor Boggs getting ready for the combine. We checked out Jean Baptist a great deal for CB. DABEARSDABOMB
I doubt we look at more LB's. Technically, don't we need a MLB, since the front office decided Bostic is a OLB.
scs787
Technically, don't we need a MLB, since the front office decided Bostic is a OLB. This too is true....It's going to be real interesting to see what goes on. SMC is supposedly moving to OLB, Bostic was deemed a better fit outside, Briggs in the past said he doesn't wanna move to MLB...Somethings gotta give...
