Stinger226
There was similar angst for that HOF MLB...and rightfully so considering how much he was missed. Urlacher would not have made a difference in our pitiful defense last year. I would suspect he wouldnt have played a full season. He was rated as one of the worst MLBs for shedding blocks in the league and with that shitty line we would be all talking about how he doesnt have it anymore. The dude couldnt run. Nobody in the league found valve in the great Urlacher. He was my favorite player in his prime but his days has passed several years ago. The only thing he would have brought was some leadership that would have helped the rookies learn faster but that is it.

And right now, our greatest needs are kick-returner, punt-returner, and punter. Seriously. You can argue our safeties suck, but at least we have guys who have played. Last year our return men were Hester, Weems, and Bennett. They are gone. Seeing as that's our greatest need, it's a good problem to have. But it's still something we need to address. Before we jump up and down saying that's the CFL, how will that be different or worse than drafting a KR/PR? I wouldn't mind having someone like Gilbert as an option on some returns. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=chris+...D3AE85533C90670

If we dont draft him we will be drafting a RB/WR that will one of our later picks. We have Hixon also on the roster so we are not void at that position. The CFL field is over 10 yards wider than the NFL field, and that matters a lot. If Hester were playing in the CFL during his career he'd probably have 50 return TDs given how close he's been so many times and how different the speed in that game is vs. the NFL.
