bradjock
With 26 and 35, they can easily get Carr, and possibly Bridgewater. Yeah, but are either of them any damn good? More importantly, if you are that desperate for a quarterback, are you really that happy just taking the best QB available? You see Carr, Bridgewater and say, "meh . . . we'll take whomever is available and hopefully he pans out."

jason
With the 5th pick, the Oakland Raiders select Jake Matthews, LT, Texas A&M. After the shock of the Sammy Watkins pick, the Raiders look to replace Jared Veldheer. The Saffold fiasco was embarrassing, and Penn is not the answer. Passing on a QB was tough, but QBs are somewhat deep and this is a win-now move for a coaching staff and front office that signed a veteran QB, a potential #1 WR, and needs to show improvement this year to keep their jobs. Atlanta (stinger) is on the clock.

adam
After much discussion, Lovie shocks the world and goes offense at #7 and selects Mike Evans, WR out of Texas A&M. Coupled with Vincent Jackson and Doug Martin, the trio of skill players will give McCown some playmakers to throw to. Minnesota and MadLith are now on the clock. Also considered: Lewan and Gilbert, but felt #7 was too high for either. Lovie's first round picks with Bears: 4 Offense, 2 Defense

Defense was Tommie Harris & Shea. Offense was Cedric, Olsen, Chris Williams, and Carimi. Good point. It's way past my bed time. If Mad Lith picks, I promise to have the Buffalo selection in by 5:30 am central tomorrow.

scs787
Well, I'll beat Adam to the podium for Detroits pick.... With the 10th pick of the 2014 NFL draft the Detroit Lions select.... Justin Gilbert Cornerback Oklahoma State. Had they not gotten Golden Tate I would have considered Eric Ebron as a #2 receiving option but right now I had to choose from Gilbert, HHCD, and the local prospect Denard. jason
With the 11th pick, the Tennessee Titans select, Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M. Titans fans have taken to calling Locker "Mr. Glass." That's not good. Barr is another possibility, especially because his connections to the coaching staff, but Manziel is potentially one of those game-changers that can't be passed on. At the very least he reinvigorates a franchise that is somewhat stagnant. The NY Giants (Adam) are on the clock.

With the 13th pick, in the 2014 NFL draft, the St. Louis Rams select Zack Martin. Offensive Tackle from the University of Notre Dame. This is a slight reach. But with Clowney surprisingly being available at #2, the Rams get their offensive tackle to help keep Sam Bradford upright. Eric Ebron was in consideration but went at #12. With this next pick, we will find out if we have to fire SCS mid-draft.

Neither Titan fanatic I know believes Manziel falls that far, but both believe he's a can't pass selection despite Locker.
